The Diet Thing

Oh well.

This is my first week of no loss. I maintained but did not lose at all. However, I know what I did:

1. ate within my points, but just barely
2. ate little portions of "bad foods" rather than larger portions of "good foods"
3. Didn't drink enough water
4. Didn't get in good amounts of Fruits and Veggies.

I need to go grocery shopping (especially now that I found my calculator)


I plan to make this in the near future:


Veggie Pita

1 whole wheat pita
1 serving roasted veggies (got a container of already roasted from Dierburgs)
1 tbs. Hummus
1 oz Fat Free Feta
1/2 cup salad greens
1/4 cup Tabouli (spelling?)
1 pinch alfalfa sprouts
1 squirt lemon juice or low cal balsamic vinagrette

Will heat the veggies and the pita first, then stuff the rest in.

I'm going to put it into the recipie builder but I'm guessing 6-7 points. Should be a nice, filling dinner.

I went to Trader Joes with Fox a few nights ago and netted myself some goodies. Only bummer, the Puffins cereal I got was way higher than I guesstimated. It brings my breakfast up to 4 points. Oh well.

I'll try to get to the grocery store this weekend and stock up on some veggies and fruits. The 30lbs of apples we got from Eckerts (that's right 30lbs) has finally gone bad. We did well. Ate probably 90% of the apples. I have a mango at home. I might make some mangoberry smoothies this weekend for breakfast next week.

Oh, find of the week X butter. I didn't know that you could make "butter" out of apples and pumpkins but you can! Apple butter is awesome (we have a whole festival for it down here in good ole Barnheart, MO) . I got pumpkin butter from TJ's. Haven't tried it yet. It's a good break from margarine.
